There's something magical about a well-laid table. Without saying a word, it invites you to slow down, to savor, to gather. The good news? It's not complicated. Here are a few simple placemats to give your table that little je-ne-sais-quoi that makes all the difference, plus a few tips for warm entertaining.

Vinyl or faux-leather placemat

Easy-care & elegant, it gives a contemporary style with a minimalist flavor. We like it with clean lines and neutral tones.

Woven placemat in natural fibers

The accessory for a warm & textured table - ideal with white or stoneware tableware for a bohemian-country-country look.

Cotton or linen placemat

Soft & supple, it adds a casual yet refined touch. Super pretty for a Scandinavian or summer-inspired table.

Other mini tricks:

1- Play with overlays

The secret of a successful table? Layering materials and textures. For example, a braided doily placed under a white plate immediately gives a natural, well-groomed look. Add a beautifully folded or rolled cloth napkin, a sprig of greenery on top... and you've got a wow effect without too much effort!

2- A simple centerpiece

There's no need to overdo it. A few dried flowers in a discreet vase, a country bouquet or even simple fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, mint) in a pot can be enough to create a soft, lively & inspiring atmosphere. It's natural, it's beautiful... and it smells like heaven!

3- Lighting, the detail that makes all the difference

Even in broad daylight, a well-placed candle or two can warm the atmosphere & give your table an enveloping touch. We like candles in minimalist containers, placed directly on the tablecloth or on a low tray.
