6 surprising ways to wrap your gifts

Wanting to put all your heart into the details, wanting to save a bit or for the simple pleasure of tinkering a little, all the reasons are good to think outside the box when it comes to gift wrapping! We thought we’d list different original ideas for you to wow the gallery, just in time for the Holidays!

The new trend: dried oranges

We see them everywhere and for good reason: what a lovely and delicate way to embellish a package! Hyper current, this minimalist look will charm many, especially when you realize how easy it is to make them. Easy as pie!

Steps :

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 F (about 80 C).
  2. Cut your oranges into thin slices, more or less 5 mm thick (1/2 cm).
  3. Place the oranges on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 6 to 8 hours or until they seem completely dried.
  4. Take the slices out of the oven and let them cool for 2-3 hours.

Pssst: Remember to drill a small hole with a straw before baking, so that you can easily insert the twine into it when assembling.

A timeless classic: the pretty buckle

Although the classics are meant to be untouchables, we opt for this decorative style mainly to let go of our creativity and highlight a particular kind of fabric. Personalize your presents by juxtaposing texture: the muslin is airy, the jute is raw and the satin is refined. On your ribbons, get set, shine!

A gourmet touch to make your gifts enticing

Just like a dish that we would offer our guests, the presentation of a gift says a lot about the person offering it. Dazzle those around you by adding an appetizing little surprise, such as a candy cane or an individual chocolate, to make them devour the container before the contents!

And why not a helping hand from nature?

There is nothing more festive and effective than inserting a few fir branches, cinnamon or pine cones in your packaging! Success guaranteed, both for its impeccably refreshing visual – and for its olfactory charm! Mother Nature sometimes has wonderful ideas, right?

For the more artistic ... drawing!

Young and old will fall for this completely crazy method, whether you have Picasso’s fiber or not! Wrap your box in quality kraft paper and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the holidays by finding your child’s heart. Felt, wood, wax, all pencils are invited!

Cover your presents with souvenirs

Seduce the most nostalgic by dressing the gifts intended for them with precious pictures. A picture is worth a thousand words, especially in a context of merrymaking and celebration. Whether it’s your favorite photo or an image you simply love, it will have an effect … just like you!
